New Student Experiences - D'mari Creque
Hello everyone! My name is D'mari Creque, and I am a freshman here at Seton Hill University!
I would first like to say that I have enjoyed my experience here at Seton Hill University. I found the people very welcoming and the campus is a very nice campus! Alos, my classes aren't very difficult and the teachers are very nice and willing to work with you, even if you oversleep and miss their class! I've enjoyed myself here so far, and I hope to continue enjoying myself here for my next 3 years here!
Coming here was a different experience for me. I'm originally from the US Virgin Islands, and although I'd been to the states before, I'd never been to Pennsylvania. I was a bit nervous about starting at a new school in a place I'd never really been to, but I was also excited to meet new people and to have new experiences. I'm glad I chose Seton Hill and I'm glad I was able to come here. I hope everyone else is having a good year so far, and I can't wait to meet more people!

A New Beginning - Sofiya Arnaudova
Hello all!
First, congratulations to all seniors that graduated from Seton Hill in May. The rest of us will miss you a lot. Also, to all of the exchange students that we had the privilege to know, good luck in everything and we hope to see you again someday.
Meanwhile, in the summer, Seton Hill is ghostly empty and quiet without all of the students cruising through campus. It made me realize how much I like it during the school year, even though I might complain sometimes that it is too busy or too loud. Students are what makes Seton Hill a wonderful place and I cannot wait until everybody returns in the fall. I am especially looking forward to meeting the new intercultural students that have decided to attend the university. I can only imagine how excited they are to start a new phase in their lives! It is going to be such an adventure when they arrive at Seton Hill for the first time- new friends, new surroundings, and different foods!! I remember the first time I arrived in Pennsylvania. I was scared and excited at the same time, because I was never away from home and everything was new to me. But, as it turned out, there was no reason for me to be scared at all! The Intercultural Orientation helped me through everything and answered all my questions. Seton Hill staff and everyone in the university were extremely helpful and nice and they were the reason why all of us, intercultural students, felt welcomed. So, if you are reading this and you are soon to be a part of Seton Hill University’s family, do not be afraid. We are all here to guide you through this important part of your life and there is nothing more exciting than making new friends and exploring new horizons.

New Journey-Michael O. Ortiz
Hey, My name is Michael O. Ortiz and I believe I am now the ISO's new secretary. I am in my fourth year at Seton Hill University. It has been an interesting and insightful journey in my life. I have experienced many new things because I am not from a culture similar to the one I am now placed in. Estoy Boricua or I am of Puerto Rican heritage. I was born and raised in New York City, so I have much experience with different people from around the world. I was fortunate enough to be immersed within the melting pot of diversity. If anyone experiences a culture shock and most of you new students will, my advice to you is to continue to work hard and never change who you are for anyone. You might be from a different place, but you are a brilliant individual who has been given the opportunity to achieve a higher education. So do well, study hard, and achieve your dreams.
